So I’m sitting around watching worthless TV after I get done with a worthless movie, A History of Violence, if you’re interested. It was mostly putrid, though, Viggo Mortensen does give Maria Bello a nice shagging on the stairs. I can’t fucking believe that movie was made by the same director as Crash. Anyway, so I switch off the DVD and flip over to the underrated Pros Vs. Joes. A very entertaining show, it pits current and former professional athletes against regular dudes for a 20,000 dollar prize. It’s not quite as unfair as it sounds. Tonight, for instance, they put Clyde “The Glyde” Drexler on ice skates for one contest. But that’s all beside the point. I spent about 20 minutes marvelling over how much the host of the show, Petros Papadakis, a former USC football player and current radio personality, looked exactly like my good buddy Jeremy Whitaker. Witness for yourself.

Of course, that was enough to keep me pretty fully entertained and think about dashing off an e-mail, or even, GASP, posting to the blog.
But that’s when it hit me. There was another striking similarity here, and this one was even better. Teo of the athletes guest starring on the show could very well have been separated at birth.
